The mighty I-lodica passing thru

I-lodica visited the Low Lands recently, cutting tunes and doing sessions all over the place from Rotterdam to Amsterdam and from Arnhem to Leiden. We talked about making some new dubb music. That's definitely going to happen. In the meantime, here are some recent sessions and tunes for your inspiration.

Out now: Harmony Hacker by Sevish

Unsurprisingly, the new Sevish album is fantastic. So if you already know who Sevish is, run go check it out (and if you'd like something to read, check the excellent comments of Jacky Ligon). On the other hand, if you haven't had a chance yet to hear this 21st century xen music genius, you might want to do yourself a favor by checking out some of his finest compositions. We'll just let the music speak.

Mr. Manu Genius of Dubshelter Recordings strikes again. His new album for Joggo sounds deep and wide. Classic basslines, great horns, subtle guitars... top quality roots reggae. We can't wait for the new album with Mr. Stefaan Collieman, which is already destined to be one of the great roots reggae classics made in the Low Lands.

Sevish is setting new standards for xenharmonic music. Rhythm and Xen is proud to be xenharmonic, without sounding theoretical or sonically cramped. This is simply very good music. Original, organic, written by a young composer with a strong vision, a superb sense of harmony and too little time to work out all the ideas floating around in his head. The dub-o-phonic netlabel gets busy again. Here's a "musical journey to some unknown areas of dub music". Compiled by Dub Thomas, the album tries to find the hidden elements of dub music in other musical genres, but it really sounds very dubby most of the time, which is ok.

The Lisbon Dub Collective

Gonçalo Coelho, Tiago Jónatas and Pedro Delmas are The Lisbon Dub Collective and they are now on SoundCloud. They've uploaded an alternate take of their opening track for Strictly Analog Dub (Dubbhism netlabel) and a few takes of a track titled 'Organize Dub'.
